Message Spy 4.3

Message Spy 4.3 is now available. This version is the first update in almost two years and it consists of only a couple minor changes. It is not imperative that users of a previous version update to this version.

Beginning with version 4.3, Message Spy is free software. The users who purchased Message Spy in the last 6 months (since November 1, 2007) can upgrade to Chat Watch 5 for free. Please contact us (via email support@zemericks.com or live help) and send us your name, email address, and order ID (if you have it) and we'll change your registration to be for Chat Watch 5.

For those unfamiliar with Message Spy, Message Spy logs instant messages sent and received on AOL Instant Messenger 5.x. Message Spy is a small, light-weight program that runs in the background without any visible windows. Unlike Chat Watch, Message Spy will run on Windows 98 and Windows ME. Message Spy is equipped with password protection, stealth capability, hotkey support, and easy to view logs. Logged chats are organized by date, time, and by the screen names of the users that participated in the chat. Message Spy requires only 64 MB of RAM and only 5 to 10 MB of disk space.

The first version of Message Spy debuted in 2003. (Back then 64 MB of RAM and 10 MB of disk space was considerably much more than it is today. :) We're very pleased that users still find it to be a very useful program and we hope that by making it free that you can share it with your friends and family.

IMAware 1.3.0 Released

IMAware 1.3.0 was released today. What's new and changed in this version:

• Added Filters that let you select similar instant messengers to look for when scanning.
• Added option that lets IMAware check for available updates when starting. (This option is selected by default.)
• No support for additional instant messengers was added in this version.

The information about the files can also be shared among members of your agency. Forensic Database can integrate with Forensic P2P to quickly detect known illegal files.

Forensic Web Screenshot - Forensic Web Screenshot saves an entire webpage as an image. With Forensic Web Screenshot you can save a copy of an entire MySpace profile or other webpage as an image (JPG). Traditional screen capture utilities can only capture part of the webpage at a time. But Forensic Web Screenshot is no traditional screen capture utility.

Chat Watch.NET 2.0 goes live

Chat Watch.NET 2.0 went live yesterday! We'd like to thank those that sent their feedback to us while testing version 2.0.

We've had 2.0 in the works since September, 2007, and we're very excited to have completed it. Also worth mentioning is that Chat Watch.NET subscribers can now use Chat Watch 5 for free while subscribed. You are no longer restricted to using Chat Watch LE. You can use your Chat Watch.NET account # and password to unlock Chat Watch 5.

If you are subscribed to Chat Watch.NET and are currently using Chat Watch 4 we especially encourage you to switch to Chat Watch 5. Chat Watch 5 will allow you to take full advantage of Chat Watch.NET's features and also to log the newer instant messengers that Chat Watch 4 does not support.

Monitor Your Children's MySpace Profiles Automatically

Zemerick Software, Inc. proudly announces the availability of the SaferSpace.Net Monitoring Service that lets parents automatically monitor their children’s MySpace profiles.

With the SaferSpace.Net Monitoring service, parents can monitor their children’s MySpace profiles for content, track when their children log into the MySpace website, and store and view cached versions of monitored MySpace profiles from the past 30 days.

Each day, the SaferSpace.Net Monitoring Service will scan the MySpace profiles that the parent has provided in their SaferSpace.Net account. The profile will be checked for inappropriate content, such as obscene language, drugs, and sexual references. An image of the MySpace profile will then be cached so the parent can view the profile even if the child later changes their profile.

MySpace’s removal of over 29,000 convicted sex offenders from the site highlights the need for parents to be aware of their children’s activity on the social-networking website. Also, studies have linked the use of social networking websites with the decline of students’ grades. According to a study by Tamyra Pierce of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism at California State University, Fresno, students with MySpace accounts reported their grades were significantly lower this year than last year, compared to students without MySpace accounts.
